Stevens Ganou – Player of the Week

The 2013 Boys Black team grinded out a scrappy win this past weekend, beating Londonderry 4-3. Stevens Ganou was a huge part of this win with 2 goals and 1 assist. Stevens first goal showed his ruthlessness in front of the net by capitalizing on a keeper mistake. His assist came when crossing the ball from the left for Joe Trainor to blast home. His second goal was a beautiful header to the opposite side of the net, which also proved to be the game winner.
As stated earlier, Stevens is always ruthless in front of the goal, but he continues to press and drop back and help defend when needed. Stevens plays as a true #11 and very rarely comes out of a game for a break. He is truly a team player that helps his teammates thrive as well.
