A Message from Coach Chris… “I want to express my deepest gratitude to Goffstown United Soccer Club (GUSC) for giving me the opportunity to coach this amazing group of girls, starting in Spring 2022. After the Spring season, I made the tough decision to step away from coaching, and it was without a doubt one of the most challenging, fun, and rewarding experiences of my life.
Over 5 seasons, this group made the playoffs three times, narrowly missing the other two. Twice, we were runners-up in the finals (Spring 2023 & Spring 2024). We also played in the Amherst Memorial Day Classic Tournament three times, twice making it to the knockout stage, and once finishing as the finals runner-up in 2023.
In the Spring of 2024, everything clicked. The girls became fierce, confident competitors, fighting until the end and never giving up, just like I always knew they could. Watching them play the way I envisioned when we started this journey was incredibly fulfilling.
A huge thank you to the GUSC board for your support and to Anne Fichera and Ed Royer for organizing everything. Thanks to Chris and Jim for letting your 2012 girls play up with us, and to my assistant coaches—Christina Brissette, Chuck Fuller, Tony Herbert, and Sarah-jane Nadeau. Special thanks to Ali Huddy for your help as team parent last Spring. It truly took a village, and I’m grateful for all your help.
Thank you to the parents for allowing me to coach your daughters. And finally, the biggest THANK YOU to the players. Your hard work, dedication, and growth have been incredible to witness. I’m so proud of you all and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!”
