Goffstown United Soccer Club Girls Player of the Week: Maddie Smart #17
Saturday’s showdown with previously undefeated Portsmouth pushed our squad to the limit. The heat was intense, the pace relentless, and every player had to dig deep. To keep everyone fresh, teammates stepped into new roles and held strong, fighting for every ball and never giving Portsmouth an easy chance.
At the center of it all was Maddie Smart. Her energy and determination set the tone in midfield, where she battled on both sides of the ball and scored two crucial goals. When the back line needed support, she dropped into defense without hesitation, giving her teammates the chance to reset before the final push.
Maddie’s effort lifted the entire team and helped power a hard-earned 3–2 victory. This week, she showed us how individual brilliance makes the whole team stronger.
