Ania guest played with the u14 team since they were missing a number of players. Playing up two age groups from her actual age group, she was more aggressive and just as skilled as anyone else on the field. She was also scheduled to go to New York for an ODP tournament, but still made time to help out her club mates.
Ania worked the hardest of any player on our team and she did it for a team that was not even her own. She made a huge difference in the absolutely critical role of center mid, making many key tackles to win back possession and then following them with insightful passes to help our team go on the attack. She also was one of the only players to get shots off against an entire team of club players. Ania never gave up, even when it was clear that we wouldn’t win. She played with the heart of a champion.
